ਪਰ ਰਊਬੇਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ, ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਉ। ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਂ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ।”
