ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹੇਠਲੀ ਨੁਕਰ ਤੀਕ, ਆਧਾਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਪ 2 ਹੱਥ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਹੱਥ ਚੌੜਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸਦਾ ਨਾਪ, ਛੋਟੇ ਕਿਂਗਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਕਿਂਗਰੇ ਤੀਕ, 4 ਹੱਥ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਹੱਥ ਚੌੜਾ ਸੀ।

| cubit; | אֶחָ֑ת | ʾeḥāt | eh-HAHT |
| and from the lesser | וּמֵהֳעֲזָרָ֨ה | ûmēhŏʿăzārâ | oo-may-hoh-uh-za-RA |
| settle | הַקְּטַנָּ֜ה | haqqĕṭannâ | ha-keh-ta-NA |
| even to | עַד | ʿad | ad |
| the greater | הָעֲזָרָ֤ה | hāʿăzārâ | ha-uh-za-RA |
| settle | הַגְּדוֹלָה֙ | haggĕdôlāh | ha-ɡeh-doh-LA |
| shall be four | אַרְבַּ֣ע | ʾarbaʿ | ar-BA |
| cubits, | אַמּ֔וֹת | ʾammôt | AH-mote |
| and the breadth | וְרֹ֖חַב | wĕrōḥab | veh-ROH-hahv |
