Exodus 7:12
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੋਟੀਆਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੋਟੀਆਂ ਸੱਪ ਬਣ ਗਈਆਂ। ਪਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੋਟੀਆਂ ਖਾ ਲਈਆਂ।

ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਤਬ ਵਰਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਧੂੜ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੂਆਂ ਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਸੱਕੇ। ਜੂਆਂ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੰਬੜ ਗਈਆਂ।
ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 9:11
ਜਾਦੂਗਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕ ਸੱਕੇ, ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਫ਼ੋੜੇ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਏ। ਇਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ।

ਪਰ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ, ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਕੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਮਹਾਂਪੁਰੱਖ ਹਾਂ।
ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਤੱਬ 13:8
ਪਰ ਇਲਮਾਸ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ (ਇਲਮਾਸ ਬਰਯੇਸੂਮ ਦਾ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਇਲਮਾਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ, ਨੇ ਜੋ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਦੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਲਿਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਇਹ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 50,000 ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਕਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਤੁਲ ਸਨ।
