“ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਤੇ ਨਿਉਂਤਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧੀਆ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਬੈਠੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਜਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਉਂਤਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ।

ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਜਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਅ ਵਰਤਾਈ ਗਈ। ਹਰ ਜਾਮ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਸੀ। ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬੜਾ ਦਿਆਲ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦਾਅਵਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਹਿਸਾਬ ਮੈਅ ਵਰਤਾਈ ਗਈ।

ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦਾਅਵਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਾਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਦਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਨਾਪਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਆਗੂ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ।
ਨਹਮਿਆਹ 8:11
ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਚੁੱਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਰਹੋ। ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਦਾਸ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋ।”

ਸਮਸੂਨ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ। ਰਿਵਾਜ਼ ਇਹ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਦੂਲ੍ਹਾ ਦਾਵਤ ਦੇਵੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਮਸੂਨ ਨੇ ਦਾਵਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ 19:9
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਲਿਖੋ; ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਅਵਤ ਤੇ ਸੱਦੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੁਭਾਗੇ ਹਨ।” ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ।”
