Proverbs 17:6
ਪੁਤ-ਪੋਤਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਢਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਕੁਟ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਤਾਜ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਬੀਯਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਬਖਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ’ਚ ਚਰਾਗ ਜਗਦਾ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਰਹੇ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਅੱਯੂਬ 42:16
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਯੂਬ 140 ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਰ ਜੀਵਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਆੱਪਣੇ ਪੋਤਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੜ-ਪੋਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਚੌਥੀ ਪੀੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੇਖਿਆ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 128:3
ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਫ਼ਲਦਾਰ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਵੇਲ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਜ਼ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਬਿਠਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਹੋਏ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

ਇੱਕ ਨੇਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੋਤਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਛੱਡ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਪੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਮੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
