Numbers 10:21
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਹਾਥ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਮੂਹ ਆਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਬਾਕੀ ਲੋਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣ।

ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਕਹਾਥ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਗਊਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਢਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਲਿਜਾਣਾ ਸੀ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਲਿਜਾਣਾ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

“ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਲੇਵੀ ਦਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦਾ ਤੰਬੂ ਸਾਰੇ ਡੇਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਲੋਕ ਉਸੇ ਤਰਤੀਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੇਰੇ ਲਾਉਣਗੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਿਕ ਝੰਡੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਹਾਥੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਤੱਕ ਲੈਣ। ਜੇ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਪਲ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਗੇ।”

ਫ਼ਿਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਨੇਮ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ।”

ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੇਵੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਹੋ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਮੈਂ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ, ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਓ।
