John 19:39
ਨਿਕੁਦੇਮੁਸ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਿਆ। ਨਿਕੁਦੇਮੁਸ ਉਹੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੌਂਤੀ ਲੀਟਰ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਗੰਧਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਸ਼੍ਰਿਤ ਊਦ ਲਿਆਇਆ।

ਯਿਸੂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਕੋਦੇਮੁਸ ਉੱਥੇ ਨਿਕੋਦੇਮੁਸ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਆਗੂ ਸੀ।

ਇਹ ਖਬਰ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਮੁੜ ਜੀਅ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਸਬਤ ਤੋਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ, ਮਰਿਯਮ ਮਗਦਲੀਨੀ, ਸਲੋਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਕੁਝ ਅਤਰ ਖਰੀਦ ਲਿਆਈਆਂ ਉਹ ਆਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ।

ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੁਣ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਤਬਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ, ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਬੜੀ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਹੁਣ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਹੈ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ।

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਿਰ ਦਿਨ ਢਲ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਛਾਵੇ ਉੱਡ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ ਮੈਂ ਗੰਧਰਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਲੁਬਾਨ ਦੀ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਾ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।

ਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਸਾ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਮਕਬਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਅ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੂਸ਼ਬੂਦਾਰ ਮਸਾਲਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਇਤਰ ਭਰੀ ਸੇਜਾਂ ਤੇ ਲਿਟਾਅ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਅੱਗ ਬਾਲੀ।
