ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਬੇਗੁਹਾਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਬਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਾਜੇ, ਖੋਰੁਸ, ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। “ਮੈਂ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਦਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ੜਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਖੋਹਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕਣਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
