Isaiah 41:29
ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਘੱਟ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ! ਉਹ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਹੀ ਨਿਕੰਮੀਆਂ ਹਨ!

ਯਸਈਆਹ 44:9
ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਫ਼ਜ਼ੂਲ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਬੇਕਾਰ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਖੁਦ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਰਬ ਹਨ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 10:2
ਇਹ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: “ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਾ ਜੀਓ। ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਖਾਸ ਸਂਕੇਤਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋ। ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਨੇ। ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
ਹਬਕੋਕ 2:18
ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਹਿਜ਼ ਕਿਸੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਧਾਤੂ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੁੱਤ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬੁੱਤ ਹਨ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਮਦਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਬੁੱਤ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ।
