Isaiah 23:2
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਲੋਕੋ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹੋ। ਸੂਰ “ਸੀਦੋਨ ਦਾ ਵਪਾਰੀ” ਸੀ। ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਕੰਢੇ ਵਸੇ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੇ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪਾਰ ਭੇਜਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੌਲਤ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਲਾਮਾਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, “ਦੂਰ ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ੋ, ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਅਤੇ ਆ ਜਾਵੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ! ਕੌਮੋ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਬਣੋ। ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਆਵੋ ਤੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੋ। ਮਿਲਾਂਗੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿ ਕੌਣ ਸਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਸੂਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖ: ‘ਸੂਰ, ਤੂੰ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਹੈਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦਾ। ਤੂੰ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਲਈ। ਤੂੰ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਕੰਢੇ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵੱਲ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: “‘ਸੂਰ, ਤੂੰ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਹਣਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹੈਂ!

ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਲਗ-ਬਲਗ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹੇ।
