Genesis 24:13
ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ, ਖੂਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਨੌਕਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਖੂਹ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ। ਸ਼ਾਮ ਦਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਈਆਂ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਊਠਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੋਡਣੀਆਂ ਲਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਯਾਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆ ਗਈ। (ਰਾਖੇਲ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।)

ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਜਕ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਤ ਧੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਸ ਖੂਹ ਤੇ ਆਈਆਂ। ਉਹ ਚੁਬੱਚੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 5:11
ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਖੜਤਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਲੋਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਿਆਂ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੜੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 37:5
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਹੋਵੋ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖੋ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਲੋੜੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
