Deuteronomy 32:13
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੀ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫ਼ਸਲਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਚੱਟਾਨਾ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ, ਸਖਤ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਤੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ-ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਕਣਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਚੱਟਾਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ।”

ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਤੂੰ ਸੁਭਾਗਾ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਚਾਉ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਢਾਲ ਵਰਗਾ ਜੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਚਾਉ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਜਿਹਾ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਲਿਤਾੜ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।”

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਪਿਆਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗੀ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ! ਉਸ ਨੇ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਵੱਲ ਵਗ ਪਿਆ!”
