ਫ਼ਿਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਦੁੱਖ ਹੈ?” ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਬੋਲੀ, “ਇਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ‘ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇਹ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅੱਜ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢੀਏ ਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਖਾ ਲਈਏ ਤੇ ਕੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵੱਢ ਕੇ ਕੱਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਲਵਾਂਗੇ।’

ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਸੁਆਣੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਰਿੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ। ਉਹ ਬੱਚੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਬਣ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।

ਮੀਕਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਮੁੜੇ। ਅਤੇ ਮੀਕਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਹੈ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕਤਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੋਏ ਹੋ?”

ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਚੋਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।

ਯਸਈਆਹ 9:20
ਲੋਕ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਭੁੱਖੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਰੱਜਣਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਵੇਗਾ।
