ਪਰ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਇਖਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰਕੇ ਹਲੀਮੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਫ਼ੜਿਆ ਇਸ ਲ਼ਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਰੋਪੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਵਿਖਾਈ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਆ ਪਈ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇ। ਇਉਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਵਿਖਾਈ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 39:6
‘ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚਲੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਚਾਈਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚੇਗਾ!’ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਵਾਂ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ’ਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਬਣਵਾਈਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਥੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ‘ਅਹਾਬ! ਤੂੰ ਨਾਬੋਥ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਹਥਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨਾਬੋਥ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਠੀਕ ਉਸੇ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।’”
ਅਹਬਾਰ 26:40
ਉਮੀਦ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ “ਪਰ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ। ਅਤੇ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕਬੂਲ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੰਨ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸਨ।
