ਫ਼ਿਰ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ਕ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ।
