ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ “ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਵਿੱਚਾਰ ਹੈ। ਚੱਲ ਚੱਲੀਏ!” ਉਹ ਉਸ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਗਏ ਜਿਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਨੌਕਰ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਖਿੱਚਣ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਪੈਗੰਬਰ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੈ?” (ਪਹਿਲਿਆਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਲੋਕ ਨਬੀ ਨੂੰ “ਪੈਗੰਬਰ” ਆਖਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਪੁੱਛਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਆਖਦੇ ਸਨ, ਆਪਾਂ ਚੱਲ ਕੇ ਪੈਗੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖੀਏ।)
