ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਸਿਕਲਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਦਾ ਪਾਇਆ। ਉੱਥੋਂ ਸਭ ਔਰਤਾਂ, ਮਰਦ, ਬੱਚੇ, ਧੀਆਂ-ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
