ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਦੋ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਵੇਸਵਾਵਾਂ ਸਨ, ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਖਲੋਤੀਆਂ।

“ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਨਾ ਬਣਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਲੰਕਤ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਧਰਤੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਭਰੋ।

ਇਹ ਪੰਜੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ, ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵੱਲ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸਾ, ਜਾਜਕ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ, ਆਗੂਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖਲੋ ਗਈਆਂ। ਪੰਜਾਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ,
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 23:17
“ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮਰਦ ਜਾਂ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
ਯਸ਼ਵਾ 2:1
ਯਰੀਹੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਸੂਸ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ, ਨੂਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸੀਆ ਵਿਖੇ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਬੰਦਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਜਸੂਸਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਘੱਲਿਆ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ, ਖਾਸੱਕਰ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਜਸੂਸੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਬੰਦੇ ਰਾਹਾਬ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਦੇ ਘਰੇ ਠਹਿਰੇ।
ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 11:1
ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ।
ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 18:13
ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ, ਮੂਸਾ ਕੋਲ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਖਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਸੀ। ਓੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਿਆ।
