ਇਹੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ, ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਇਹ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਮਿੱਲੋ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਰੇੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਮੋੜਨ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ “ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਤੰਬੂ ਡਿੱਗੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਮੈਂ ਇਸਦੀਆਂ ਟੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਖੰਡਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੁਨਰ-ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।

ਯਸਈਆਹ 26:11
ਪਰ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਨਹੀ ਵੇਖਦੇ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਕੜਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਰਸਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ। ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੱਗ (ਬਦੀ) ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾੜੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਤਿੜਕਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤ੍ਰੇੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਸੱਕੋਗੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੱਥਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੀਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰੋਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੂਹਰੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਨਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋਗੇ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਰੋਗੇ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ।

ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬਿਕਰੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਬਾ ਹੈ, ਇੱਥੇ ਆਣ ਲੁਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵਿਦਰੋਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੋਁ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਇੰਝ ਹੀ ਛੱਡ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।” ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਯੋਆਬ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਠੀਕ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕੰਧ ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
