“ਰਾਜਨ, ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਰੁੱਖ੍ਖ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਟ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ। ਰੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਢ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਲੋਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਪਟਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਢ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦੀਆਂ ਜਢ਼ਾਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿਓ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿਓ। ਇਹ ਤ੍ਰੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਭਿੱਜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਸੱਤ ਰੁੱਤਾਂ (ਸਾਲ) ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ।’

ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਰਹੋਁਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਘਾਹ ਖਾਵੋਂਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤ੍ਰੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਭਿੱਜ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ। ਸੱਤ ਰੁੱਤਾਂ (ਸਾਲ) ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਸਬਕ ਸਿੱਖੋਁਗੇ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਗਿਆਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਅੱਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਅੱਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਓਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਬਖਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਬਦਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ! ਅਤੇ ਬਦਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ! ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਉਹ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਅਤੇ ਖੋਹ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ! ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਉਹ! ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਗਿਆਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝਦਾਰ ਬਣਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
