ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਦੰਮਿਸਕ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾ।

ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਦਾ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਕੋਲ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਣਾ ਤਾਂ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੰਮਿਸਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ। ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਤਦ ਬੀਮਾਰ ਸੀ। ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂ ਹੋਬਾਹ, ਦਮਿਸੱਕ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਭਜਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲੜਦਿਆਂ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੱਟੜ ਹੋਣਾ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ। ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਰਾਮੋਥ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੱਟੜ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਯੇਹੂ ਦਾ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਜਾਣਾ ਇਉਂ ਨਿਮਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪੋਤਰੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਟ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮਤਾ ਪਕਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਸਮੇਤ ਰਾਮੋਥ-ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 45:1
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਾਜੇ, ਖੋਰੁਸ, ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। “ਮੈਂ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਦਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ੜਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਖੋਹਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕਣਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”

ਇਹ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ, ਡੰਡਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਸੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਜੂਲਾ ਬਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਹਮਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ।
ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਤੱਬ 9:2
ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਮੰਗੀਆਂ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦ ਕਰਨ, ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮਰਦ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਲਿਆਉਣ।
