“ਇਸ ਲਈ ਈਰਖਾ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਬਿਧੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਔਰਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਆਹੁਤਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਜੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇ। ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜੌਂਆ ਦੇ ਆਟੇ ਦੇ 8 ਕੱਪ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਲੈ ਜਾਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਜੌਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਟੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਜਾਂ ਧੂਫ਼ ਨਾ ਪਾਵੇ। ਇਹ ਜੌਂਆ ਦਾ ਆਟਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਤੀ ਈਰਖਾਲੂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਭੇਟ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਵੇਗੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।

ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਖੇਤ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਕੌਮ ਹੈ। ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਕਤਲ ਹੀ ਸਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਨਿਰਪੱਖਤਾ ਦੀ, ਉਮੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਓੱਥੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੀਕਾਂ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਰਾ ਸਲੂਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
