Numbers 36:2
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਾਨ ਜੀ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਲਫ਼ਹਾਦ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਸਲਾਫ਼ਹਾਦ, ਸਾਡਾ ਭਰਾ ਸੀ।

| for an inheritance | בְּנַֽחֲלָ֛ה | bĕnaḥălâ | beh-na-huh-LA |
| lot by | בְּגוֹרָ֖ל | bĕgôrāl | beh-ɡoh-RAHL |
| to the children | לִבְנֵ֣י | libnê | leev-NAY |
| Israel: of | יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
| and my lord | וַֽאדֹנִי֙ | waʾdōniy | va-doh-NEE |
| commanded was | צֻוָּ֣ה | ṣuwwâ | tsoo-WA |
| by the Lord | בַֽיהוָ֔ה | bayhwâ | vai-VA |
| give to | לָתֵ֗ת | lātēt | la-TATE |
