ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨ। ਸਾਢੇ ਨੌ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਰਦਾਂ ਸੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਕਿ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਸੀ।
