Numbers 14:18
ਤੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਰ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਂੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗੁਨਾਹਗਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੋਤਿਆਂ-ਪੜਪੋਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ!’
