ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਤੰਬੂ ਤੱਕ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਰਛੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਦਯਾਨੀ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਰਛਾ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੋਭ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਹਾਮਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ ਏ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ।

ਉਸ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਸਾਲੂ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਿਮਰੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਿਦਯਾਨੀ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਸੀ।
