Nehemiah 11:23
ਗਾਉਨਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਗਾਉਨਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਉਹ ਲੇਵੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਗਵੈਯੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਮਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ’ਚ ਰੁਝੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
Ezra 7:20
ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਲਈ ਧੰਨ ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਖਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਵਰਤ ਲਵੀਂ।
