ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮਾਲਕ! ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਾਤ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਹੱਥ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਾ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਲ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਵਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇੰਝ ਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਹੋ।”

Luke 17:13
ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਤਰਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ, “ਯਿਸੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਮ ਕਰ।”

ਮੰਦਰ ਜਾਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਜੇ ਘਰ ਉਸਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਕਤ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਰਿਹਾ, ਤਾਂ ਚੌਕੀਦਾਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਕਤ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਤੰਬੂ ਲਾਵਾਂਗੇ ਇੱਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ, ਇੱਕ ਮੂਸਾ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਵਾਸਤੇ।” ਪਰ ਪਤਰਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੀ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਤ ਚੁੱਬੀਆਂ ਮਾਰ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋੜ੍ਹ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਪਾਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।
Luke 9:49
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਵਰਜਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।”
