ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਕਸਮ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ! ਇੱਥੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਆਖਣ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਤਮ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਸਾਡੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਸੱਪਸ਼ਟ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ? ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨਿਆਂਹੀਣ ਹੈ? (ਲੋਕ ਇੰਝ ਆਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ।)
