John 19:3
ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਸੈਨਕ ਆਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਕੇ ਠੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਹੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ, ਨਮਸੱਕਾਰ।” ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇ ਚਪੇੜਾਂ ਵੀ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ।

ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਪੱਟੀ ਲਿਖਵਾ ਕੇ ਸਲੀਬ ਉੱਪਰ ਟੰਗਵਾਈ ਜਿਸਤੇ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, “ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਸਰੀ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ।”
