Jeremiah 8:1
ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ: “ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ, ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ, ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਕੱਢ ਲੈਣਗੇ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਾਲ, ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਉਂ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਜਨਮੇਗਾ ਹੁਣ ਜਾਜਕ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਹੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ, ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਪਾਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਸਾੜੇਗਾ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕੇਗੀ।’”

ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਚਾਰੋ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਮਾਰੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਕੱਢੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਭ੍ਰਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਯਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ। ਤਦ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਚਾਰੋ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਨਬੀ) ਦੀ ਕਬਰ ਵੇਖੀ।

2 Kings 23:20
ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੀ ਉਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਸਨ, ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ’ਚ ਸਾੜਿਆ। ਇਉਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸਟ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ।

2 Chronicles 34:4
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਬਆਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਢਾਹ-ਢੁਹਾਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕੀਤੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਧੂਪ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਖਲੋਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਘੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਢਾਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੂਰਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਚੂਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਛਿੜਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਆਲ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ ਸਨ।

Jeremiah 7:32
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ,” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ, “ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਤੋਂਫਬ ਜਾਂ ਬਨ-ਹਿੰਨੋਮ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਦ੍ਦਣਗੇ। ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਸਦ੍ਦਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੋਂਫਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚੇਗੀ।

Ezekiel 37:1
ਸੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ (ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ) ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਵਾਦੀ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।

Amos 2:1
ਮੋਆਬ ਲਈ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਉਂ ਫ਼ੁਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ: “ਮੈਂ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਕੇ ਚੂਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
