Jeremiah 3:6
ਦੋ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਭੈਣਾਂ: ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਯੋਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਖੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ? ਤੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਹਰੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗਏ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੀਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਵਰਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਖਾਇਆਂ ਹਰ ਸੜਕ ਦੀ ਨੁਕਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਣਾਏ, ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਗਲੀ ਦੇ ਮੋੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਉਸਾਰੇ। ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਭੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਗੇ।
Ezekiel 16:24
“ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਤੂੰ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਟਿੱਲਾ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ। ਤੂੰ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੜਕ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਨੁਕਰ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਥਾਨ ਬਣਾਏ।
Jeremiah 17:2
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਲਈ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਸਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
Jeremiah 7:24
“ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਆਈਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਨੇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣੇ। ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਮੰਦੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ-ਉਹ ਪਿੱਛਾਂਹ ਮੁੜ ਗਏ, ਅਗਾਂਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਧੇ।
Jeremiah 3:11
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਫ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਬਹਾਨਾ ਸੀ।
Jeremiah 3:8
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਭੈਣ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਕੇ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਮ ਕੀਤੇ।
Jeremiah 2:19
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਆਵੇਗੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਬਕ ਸਿੱਖਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚੋ! ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕੋਲ ਮੁਖ ਮੋੜਨਾ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਮੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭੈਭੀਤ ਨਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਦਰ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਹੈ।” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੀ।
Isaiah 57:7
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਿਸਤਰੇ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ।
2 Kings 17:7
ਇਹ ਸਭ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
Ezekiel 23:11
“ਉਸਦੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਭੈਣ, ਆਹਾਲੀਬਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਦੀਆਂ ਦੇਖੀਆਂ। ਪਰ ਆਹਾਲੀਬਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੈਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤੇ! ਉਹ ਆਹਾਲਾਹ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਸੀ।
