אֲשֶׁ֨ר word uh-SHER הָיָ֤ה of ha-YA דְבַר the deh-VAHR יְהוָה֙ Lord yeh-VA אֶֽל that el יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ came yeer-meh-YA-hoo עַל to al דִּבְרֵ֖י Jeremiah deev-RAY הַבַּצָּרֽוֹת׃ concerning ha-ba-tsa-ROTE -
אָבְלָ֣ה mourneth, ove-LA יְהוּדָ֔ה and yeh-hoo-DA וּשְׁעָרֶ֥יהָ the oo-sheh-ah-RAY-ha אֻמְלְל֖וּ gates oom-leh-LOO קָדְר֣וּ thereof kode-ROO לָאָ֑רֶץ languish; la-AH-rets וְצִוְחַ֥ת they veh-tseev-HAHT יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם are yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM עָלָֽתָה׃ black ah-LA-ta -
וְאַדִּ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם their veh-ah-DEE-ray-HEM שָׁלְח֥וּ nobles shole-HOO צְעִורֵיהֶ֖ם have tseh-eev-ray-HEM לַמָּ֑יִם sent la-MA-yeem בָּ֣אוּ their BA-oo עַל little al גֵּבִ֞ים ones ɡay-VEEM לֹא to loh מָ֣צְאוּ the MA-tseh-oo מַ֗יִם waters: MA-yeem שָׁ֤בוּ they SHA-voo כְלֵיהֶם֙ came heh-lay-HEM רֵיקָ֔ם to ray-KAHM בֹּ֥שׁוּ the BOH-shoo וְהָכְלְמ֖וּ pits, veh-hoke-leh-MOO וְחָפ֥וּ and veh-ha-FOO רֹאשָֽׁם׃ found roh-SHAHM -
בַּעֲב֤וּר the ba-uh-VOOR הָאֲדָמָה֙ ground ha-uh-da-MA חַ֔תָּה is HA-ta כִּ֛י chapt, kee לֹא for loh הָיָ֥ה there ha-YA גֶ֖שֶׁם was ɡEH-shem בָּאָ֑רֶץ no ba-AH-rets בֹּ֥שׁוּ rain BOH-shoo אִכָּרִ֖ים in ee-ka-REEM חָפ֥וּ the ha-FOO רֹאשָֽׁם׃ earth, roh-SHAHM -
כִּ֤י the kee גַם hind ɡahm אַיֶּ֙לֶת֙ also ah-YEH-LET בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה calved ba-sa-DEH יָלְדָ֖ה in yole-DA וְעָז֑וֹב the veh-ah-ZOVE כִּ֥י field, kee לֹֽא and loh הָיָ֖ה forsook ha-YA דֶּֽשֶׁא׃ it, DEH-sheh -
וּפְרָאִים֙ the oo-feh-ra-EEM עָמְד֣וּ wild ome-DOO עַל asses al שְׁפָיִ֔ם did sheh-fa-YEEM שָׁאֲפ֥וּ stand sha-uh-FOO ר֖וּחַ in ROO-ak כַּתַּנִּ֑ים the ka-ta-NEEM כָּל֥וּ high ka-LOO עֵינֵיהֶ֖ם places, ay-nay-HEM כִּי they kee אֵ֥ין snuffed ane עֵֽשֶׂב׃ up A-sev -
אִם Lord, eem עֲוֹנֵ֙ינוּ֙ though uh-oh-NAY-NOO עָ֣נוּ our AH-noo בָ֔נוּ iniquities VA-noo יְהוָ֕ה testify yeh-VA עֲשֵׂ֖ה against uh-SAY לְמַ֣עַן us, leh-MA-an שְׁמֶ֑ךָ do sheh-MEH-ha כִּֽי thou kee רַבּ֥וּ it RA-boo מְשׁוּבֹתֵ֖ינוּ for meh-shoo-voh-TAY-noo לְךָ֥ thy leh-HA חָטָֽאנוּ׃ name's ha-TA-noo -
מִקְוֵה֙ the meek-VAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל hope yees-ra-ALE מֽוֹשִׁיע֖וֹ of moh-shee-OH בְּעֵ֣ת Israel, beh-ATE צָרָ֑ה the tsa-RA לָ֤מָּה saviour LA-ma תִֽהְיֶה֙ thereof tee-heh-YEH כְּגֵ֣ר in keh-ɡARE בָּאָ֔רֶץ time ba-AH-rets וּכְאֹרֵ֖חַ of oo-heh-oh-RAY-ak נָטָ֥ה trouble, na-TA לָלֽוּן׃ why la-LOON -
לָ֤מָּה shouldest LA-ma תִֽהְיֶה֙ thou tee-heh-YEH כְּאִ֣ישׁ be keh-EESH נִדְהָ֔ם as need-HAHM כְּגִבּ֖וֹר a keh-ɡEE-bore לֹא man loh יוּכַ֣ל astonied, yoo-HAHL לְהוֹשִׁ֑יעַ as leh-hoh-SHEE-ah וְאַתָּ֧ה a veh-ah-TA בְקִרְבֵּ֣נוּ mighty veh-keer-BAY-noo יְהוָ֗ה man yeh-VA וְשִׁמְךָ֛ that veh-sheem-HA עָלֵ֥ינוּ cannot ah-LAY-noo נִקְרָ֖א neek-RA אַל save? al תַּנִּחֵֽנוּ׃ yet ta-nee-hay-NOO -
כֹּֽה saith koh אָמַ֨ר the ah-MAHR יְהוָ֜ה Lord yeh-VA לָעָ֣ם unto la-AM הַזֶּ֗ה this ha-ZEH כֵּ֤ן people, kane אָֽהֲבוּ֙ Thus ah-huh-VOO לָנ֔וּעַ have la-NOO-ah רַגְלֵיהֶ֖ם they rahɡ-lay-HEM לֹ֣א loved loh חָשָׂ֑כוּ to ha-SA-hoo וַיהוָה֙ wander, vai-VA לֹ֣א they loh רָצָ֔ם have ra-TSAHM עַתָּה֙ not ah-TA יִזְכֹּ֣ר refrained yeez-KORE עֲוֹנָ֔ם their uh-oh-NAHM וְיִפְקֹ֖ד feet, veh-yeef-KODE חַטֹּאתָֽם׃ therefore ha-toh-TAHM -
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר said va-YOH-mer יְהוָ֖ה the yeh-VA אֵלָ֑י Lord ay-LAI אַל unto al תִּתְפַּלֵּ֛ל me, teet-pa-LALE בְּעַד Pray beh-AD הָעָ֥ם not ha-AM הַזֶּ֖ה for ha-ZEH לְטוֹבָֽה׃ this leh-toh-VA -
כִּ֣י they kee יָצֻ֗מוּ fast, ya-TSOO-moo אֵינֶ֤נִּי I ay-NEH-nee שֹׁמֵ֙עַ֙ will shoh-MAY-AH אֶל not el רִנָּתָ֔ם hear ree-na-TAHM וְכִ֧י veh-HEE יַעֲל֛וּ their ya-uh-LOO עֹלָ֥ה cry; oh-LA וּמִנְחָ֖ה and oo-meen-HA אֵינֶ֣נִּי when ay-NEH-nee רֹצָ֑ם they roh-TSAHM כִּ֗י offer kee בַּחֶ֙רֶב֙ burnt ba-HEH-REV וּבָרָעָ֣ב offering oo-va-ra-AV וּבַדֶּ֔בֶר and oo-va-DEH-ver אָנֹכִ֖י an ah-noh-HEE מְכַלֶּ֥ה oblation, meh-ha-LEH אוֹתָֽם׃ I oh-TAHM -
וָאֹמַ֞ר said va-oh-MAHR אֲהָ֣הּ׀ I, uh-HA אֲדֹנָ֣י Ah, uh-doh-NAI יְהוִ֗ה Lord yeh-VEE הִנֵּ֨ה God! hee-NAY הַנְּבִאִ֜ים behold, ha-neh-vee-EEM אֹמְרִ֤ים the oh-meh-REEM לָהֶם֙ prophets la-HEM לֹֽא say loh תִרְא֣וּ unto teer-OO חֶ֔רֶב them, HEH-rev וְרָעָ֖ב Ye veh-ra-AV לֹֽא shall loh יִהְיֶ֣ה not yee-YEH לָכֶ֑ם see la-HEM כִּֽי the kee שְׁל֤וֹם sword, sheh-LOME אֱמֶת֙ neither ay-MET אֶתֵּ֣ן shall eh-TANE לָכֶ֔ם ye la-HEM בַּמָּק֖וֹם have ba-ma-KOME הַזֶּֽה׃ famine; ha-ZEH -
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר the va-YOH-mer יְהוָ֜ה Lord yeh-VA אֵלַ֗י said ay-LAI שֶׁ֚קֶר unto SHEH-ker הַנְּבִאִים֙ me, ha-neh-vee-EEM נִבְּאִ֣ים The nee-beh-EEM בִּשְׁמִ֔י prophets beesh-MEE לֹ֤א prophesy loh שְׁלַחְתִּים֙ lies sheh-lahk-TEEM וְלֹ֣א in veh-LOH צִוִּיתִ֔ים my tsee-wee-TEEM וְלֹ֥א name: veh-LOH דִבַּ֖רְתִּי I dee-BAHR-tee אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם sent uh-lay-HEM חֲז֨וֹן them huh-ZONE שֶׁ֜קֶר not, SHEH-ker וְקֶ֤סֶם neither veh-KEH-sem וֶֽאֱלִול֙ have veh-ay-leev-L וְתַרְמִ֣ות I veh-tahr-MEEV-t לִבָּ֔ם commanded lee-BAHM הֵ֖מָּה them, HAY-ma מִֽתְנַבְּאִ֥ים neither mee-teh-na-beh-EEM לָכֶֽם׃ spake la-HEM -
לָכֵ֞ן thus la-HANE כֹּֽה saith koh אָמַ֣ר the ah-MAHR יְהוָ֗ה Lord yeh-VA עַֽל concerning al הַנְּבִאִ֞ים the ha-neh-vee-EEM הַנִּבְּאִ֣ים prophets ha-nee-beh-EEM בִּשְׁמִי֮ that beesh-MEE וַאֲנִ֣י prophesy va-uh-NEE לֹֽא in loh שְׁלַחְתִּים֒ my sheh-lahk-TEEM וְהֵ֙מָּה֙ name, veh-HAY-MA אֹֽמְרִ֔ים and oh-meh-REEM חֶ֣רֶב I HEH-rev וְרָעָ֔ב sent veh-ra-AV לֹ֥א them loh יִהְיֶ֖ה not, yee-YEH בָּאָ֣רֶץ yet ba-AH-rets הַזֹּ֑את they ha-ZOTE בַּחֶ֤רֶב say, ba-HEH-rev וּבָֽרָעָב֙ Sword oo-va-ra-AV יִתַּ֔מּוּ and yee-TA-moo הַנְּבִאִ֖ים famine ha-neh-vee-EEM הָהֵֽמָּה׃ shall ha-HAY-ma -
וְהָעָ֣ם the veh-ha-AM אֲשֶׁר people uh-SHER הֵ֣מָּה to HAY-ma נִבְּאִ֣ים whom nee-beh-EEM לָהֶ֡ם they la-HEM יִֽהְי֣וּ prophesy yee-heh-YOO מֻשְׁלָכִים֩ shall moosh-la-HEEM בְּחֻצ֨וֹת be beh-hoo-TSOTE יְרוּשָׁלִַ֜ם cast yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM מִפְּנֵ֣י׀ out mee-peh-NAY הָרָעָ֣ב in ha-ra-AV וְהַחֶ֗רֶב the veh-ha-HEH-rev וְאֵ֤ין streets veh-ANE מְקַבֵּר֙ of meh-ka-BARE לָהֵ֔מָּה Jerusalem la-HAY-ma הֵ֣מָּה because HAY-ma נְשֵׁיהֶ֔ם of neh-shay-HEM וּבְנֵיהֶ֖ם the oo-veh-nay-HEM וּבְנֹֽתֵיהֶ֑ם famine oo-veh-noh-tay-HEM וְשָׁפַכְתִּ֥י and veh-sha-fahk-TEE עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם the uh-lay-HEM אֶת sword; et רָעָתָֽם׃ and ra-ah-TAHM -
וְאָמַרְתָּ֤ thou veh-ah-mahr-TA אֲלֵיהֶם֙ shalt uh-lay-HEM אֶת say et הַדָּבָ֣ר ha-da-VAHR הַזֶּ֔ה this ha-ZEH תֵּרַ֨דְנָה word tay-RAHD-na עֵינַ֥י unto ay-NAI דִּמְעָ֛ה them; deem-AH לַ֥יְלָה Let LA-la וְיוֹמָ֖ם mine veh-yoh-MAHM וְאַל eyes veh-AL תִּדְמֶ֑ינָה run teed-MAY-na כִּי֩ down kee שֶׁ֨בֶר with SHEH-ver גָּד֜וֹל tears ɡa-DOLE נִשְׁבְּרָ֗ה night neesh-beh-RA בְּתוּלַת֙ and beh-too-LAHT בַּת day, baht עַמִּ֔י and ah-MEE מַכָּ֖ה let ma-KA נַחְלָ֥ה them nahk-LA מְאֹֽד׃ not meh-ODE -
אִם I eem יָצָ֣אתִי go ya-TSA-tee הַשָּׂדֶ֗ה forth ha-sa-DEH וְהִנֵּה֙ into veh-hee-NAY חַלְלֵי the hahl-LAY חֶ֔רֶב field, HEH-rev וְאִם֙ then veh-EEM בָּ֣אתִי behold BA-tee הָעִ֔יר the ha-EER וְהִנֵּ֖ה slain veh-hee-NAY תַּחֲלוּאֵ֣י with ta-huh-loo-A רָעָ֑ב the ra-AV כִּֽי sword! kee גַם and ɡahm נָבִ֧יא if na-VEE גַם I ɡahm כֹּהֵ֛ן enter koh-HANE סָחֲר֥וּ into sa-huh-ROO אֶל the el אֶ֖רֶץ city, EH-rets וְלֹ֥א then veh-LOH יָדָֽעוּ׃ behold ya-da-OO -
הֲמָאֹ֨ס thou huh-ma-OSE מָאַ֜סְתָּ utterly ma-AS-ta אֶת rejected et יְהוּדָ֗ה yeh-hoo-DA אִם Judah? eem בְּצִיּוֹן֙ hath beh-tsee-YONE גָּעֲלָ֣ה thy ɡa-uh-LA נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָ soul nahf-SHEH-ha מַדּ֙וּעַ֙ lothed MA-doo-AH הִכִּיתָ֔נוּ Zion? hee-kee-TA-noo וְאֵ֥ין why veh-ANE לָ֖נוּ hast LA-noo מַרְפֵּ֑א thou mahr-PAY קַוֵּ֤ה smitten ka-WAY לְשָׁלוֹם֙ us, leh-sha-LOME וְאֵ֣ין and veh-ANE ט֔וֹב there tove וּלְעֵ֥ת is oo-leh-ATE מַרְפֵּ֖א no mahr-PAY וְהִנֵּ֥ה healing veh-hee-NAY בְעָתָֽה׃ for veh-ah-TA -
יָדַ֧עְנוּ acknowledge, ya-DA-noo יְהוָ֛ה O yeh-VA רִשְׁעֵ֖נוּ Lord, reesh-A-noo עֲוֹ֣ן our uh-ONE אֲבוֹתֵ֑ינוּ wickedness, uh-voh-TAY-noo כִּ֥י and kee חָטָ֖אנוּ the ha-TA-noo לָֽךְ׃ iniquity lahk -
