Genesis 31:8
“ਜੇਕਰ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਵਜੋਂ ਧਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਬੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦੈਂ,’ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਧਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ।

| bare | הַצֹּ֖אן | haṣṣōn | ha-TSONE |
| speckled: | נְקֻדִּ֑ים | nĕquddîm | neh-koo-DEEM |
| if and | וְאִם | wĕʾim | veh-EEM |
| he said | כֹּ֣ה | kō | koh |
| thus, | יֹאמַ֗ר | yōʾmar | yoh-MAHR |
| The ringstraked | עֲקֻדִּים֙ | ʿăquddîm | uh-koo-DEEM |

| hire; thy | שְׂכָרֶ֔ךָ | śĕkārekā | seh-ha-REH-ha |
