Genesis 30:17
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ ਲੇਆਹ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਤਾਂ ਇੰਝ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਸਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਗਕੇ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।”
