ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਹਿਰੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਸਲੀ ਲਈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਚਮੜੀ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੱਸਲੀ ਕੱਢੀ ਸੀ।
