Genesis 14:12
ਅਬਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਭਤੀਜਾ ਲੂਤ, ਸਦੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ। ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਲੈ ਲਈਆਂ।

ਅਬਰਾਮ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਠਹਿਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੂਤ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਲੂਤ ਦੂਰ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਸਦੂਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਓੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
