Genesis 12:1
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ। ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਟੱਬਰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਜਾਹ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ।

| and from thy father's | וּמִמּֽוֹלַדְתְּךָ֖ | ûmimmôladtĕkā | oo-mee-moh-lahd-teh-HA |
| house, | וּמִבֵּ֣ית | ûmibbêt | oo-mee-BATE |
| unto | אָבִ֑יךָ | ʾābîkā | ah-VEE-ha |
| a land | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| that | הָאָ֖רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
| I will shew | אֲשֶׁ֥ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| thee: | אַרְאֶֽךָּ׃ | ʾarʾekkā | ar-EH-ka |
