ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਦੱਸਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ। ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ। ਦੂਸਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ।
