ਸੂਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖ: ‘ਸੂਰ, ਤੂੰ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਹੈਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦਾ। ਤੂੰ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਲਈ। ਤੂੰ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਕੰਢੇ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵੱਲ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: “‘ਸੂਰ, ਤੂੰ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਹਣਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹੈਂ!

Ezekiel 27:9
ਰਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਸਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਟਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚਲੀਆਂ ਦਰਾੜਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ’ਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ। ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜ਼ਹਾਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ੀ ਆਏ ਸਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ।

1 Samuel 4:1
ਸਮੂਏਲ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਈ। ਏਲੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਬਦਸਲੂਕੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਇਆ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਕਲ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਬਨ-ਅਜ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਤੰਬੂ ਲਾਏ। ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਫ਼ੇਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੰਬੂ ਲਾਏ।

1 Samuel 15:2
ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਨਾਨ ਜਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਪਾਈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਲੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ।

Amos 1:9
ਫ਼ੀਨੀਸ਼ ਲਈ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਉਂ ਫ਼ੁਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ: “ਮੈਂ ਸੂਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਦੰਡਿਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਕੌਲ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਏ।
