Proverbs 17:18
ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸੂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਦੇ ਕਰਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਲਵੇਗਾ।

Proverbs 20:16
ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਣਜਾਣ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਕਰਜ਼ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਲੈਂਦਾ, ਉਸਦੀ ਜਮੀਨ ਲੈ ਲਵੋ। ਯਕੀਨੀ ਤੋਰ ਤੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਗਿਰਵੀ ਰੱਖ ਲਵੋ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਨਜਾਣ ਔਰਤ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਮੀਰ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਗਰੀਬ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅਮੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਹਫ਼ੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਇਹ ਦੋਨੋ ਹੀ ਗਰੀਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
