Luke 8:37
ਤਾਂ ਗਿਰਸੇਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਬੇੜੀ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਗਲੀਲ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜਿਆ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਚੀਕਾਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਯਿਸੂ! ਅੱਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਕੀ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ? ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾ ਦੇ!” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਛੱਡਣ ਲਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਭੂਤ ਕਈ ਵਾਰੀ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਬੜਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਅਵਸਰਾਂ ਤੇ, ਹਾਲਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਜੀਰਾਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਜੰਜੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੰਨਸਾਨ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ।

Deuteronomy 5:25
ਪਰ ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ! ਉਹ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਅੱਗ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਸੁੱਟੇਗੀ! ਅਸੀਂ ਮਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ!
