Judges 21:22
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਭਰਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਖਾਂਗੇ, ‘ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰੋ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਦਿਉ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਉੱਠਾ ਲਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉੱਠਾ ਲਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਨਾ ਟੁੱਟੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੋਂਗੇ-ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਖੋਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ! ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਟੁੱਟਿਆ।’”

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਭਰਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਖਾਂਗੇ, ‘ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰੋ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਦਿਉ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਉੱਠਾ ਲਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉੱਠਾ ਲਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਨਾ ਟੁੱਟੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੋਂਗੇ-ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਖੋਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ! ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਟੁੱਟਿਆ।’”

And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favorable unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his wife in the war: for ye did not give unto them at this time, that ye should be guilty.

And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come to complain unto us, that we will say unto them, Grant them graciously unto us, because we took not for each man `of them' his wife in battle, neither did ye give them unto them, else would ye now be guilty.
