ਮਰਿਯਮ ਨੇ ਨਰਦ ਦੀ ਜੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਣੇ ਮਹਿੰਗੇ ਅਤਰ ਦਾ ਅੱਧਾ ਸੇਰ ਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਣਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਡੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਪੂੰਝੇ। ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰ ਅਤਰ ਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ।
