Jeremiah 27:13
ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਂਨੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਭੁੱਖ ਨਂਗ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ।

Jeremiah 27:8
“‘ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਕੌਮ ਜਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੂਲਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਤੇ ਪਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਭੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।’” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ। “‘ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਉਸ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲੜਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ। ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਉਣਗੇ। ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚੁਟਕਲੇ ਜੋੜਨਗੇ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੰਡਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
Jeremiah 38:2
“ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: ‘ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਠਹਿਰੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਰੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਤਮ-ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਜੀਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਬਚਾਕੇ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਣਗੇ।’
Jeremiah 38:20
ਪਰ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਠੀਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਚ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
Ezekiel 14:21
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੋਚ ਕਿ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਮਾੜੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ: ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਉਹ ਚਾਰੇ ਸਜ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ! ਮੈਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਫ਼ੌਜੀਆਂ, ਭੁੱਖਮਰੀ, ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ!
Ezekiel 18:24
“ਹੁਣ, ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਚੰਗਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਨੇਕੀ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਵੇ। ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰ ਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੰਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ, (ਉਹ ਮੰਦਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਜਿਉਂ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ!) ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਚੰਗਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਬਦਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਦ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਨੇਕ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਅਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਮਰੇਗਾ।”
Ezekiel 33:11
“ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਖੀ ਰੱਖਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ-ਬਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਵੀ! ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਰਨ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤ ਆਉਣ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਜਿਉਂ ਸੱਕਣ! ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਤ ਆਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ! ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨੋ ਹਟ ਜਾਵੋ! ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਰਨਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਪਵੇ?’
