Jeremiah 26:23
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਊਰੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਊਰੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਗਏ। ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਨੇ ਊਰੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਊਰੀਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਲਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕਬਰਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਗਰੀਬ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਗੱਲ ਬਾਰੇ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖਣਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਬੇਗੁਨਾਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਹਰ ਵਾਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਓਗੇ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਓਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ।”
