Genesis 20:14

ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਗਰਾਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।
Genesis 20:7
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਮੋੜ ਦੇ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵੇਂਗਾ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਨਾ ਮੋੜੀ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
Genesis 20:11
ਤਾਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਸਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
