Deuteronomy 17:18
“ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਕਲ ਲਿਖਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨਕਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚਂ ਬਣਾਵੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਮੂਸਾ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖਕੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਣਾ ਸੀ। ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਮੁਕਟ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਉਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਲੀਆਂ ਵਜਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ।”

ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਤਦ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਜੋ ਸੱਕੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵੇਖ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ!” ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਪੋਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ।
Deuteronomy 31:24
ਮੂਸਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖ ਲਿਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਮੁਕਾਈ,

ਤਦ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਮੁਨਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਲੱਭੀ ਹੈ!” ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
