Acts 28:3

2 Corinthians 6:9
ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਗਿਆਤ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਦੇਖੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਏ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਖੂਨੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਿਆ, ਪਰ ਦੈਵੀ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਿਆ।”

Isaiah 59:5
ਉਹ (ਬਦੀ ਵਾਂਗ) ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੇ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਅੰਡਾ ਖਾ ਲਵੋ ਤਾਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਓਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਅੰਡੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਂੜੋਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲਾ ਸੱਪ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਝੂਠ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਝੂਠ ਲੋਕ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਕੱੜੀ ਦੇ ਜਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ।
Isaiah 41:24
“ਦੇਖੋ, ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਓ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਘੱਟ ਹੋ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ! ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨਿਕਂਮਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੇਗਾ!”
Isaiah 30:6
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਨਿਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼: ਨਿਜੀਵ ਇੱਕ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ, ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੇ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਨੀਅਰ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਨਿਜੀਵ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੌਮ ਵੱਲ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਊਠਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਿੱਠਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਦਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦਾ ਅਰਬ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਕੌਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੀ।
Job 20:16
ਬਦ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਜਾਮ ਸੱਪ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਸੱਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੇ ਦੰਦ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
Amos 5:19
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ ਜੋ ਬੱਬਰ-ਸ਼ੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਪਰ ਉਸਤੇ ਰਿੱਛ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਿਫ਼ਾਜ਼ਤ ਲਈ ਘਰ ’ਚ ਵੜਕੇ, ਕੰਧ ਤੇ ਝੁਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਪ ਤੋਂ ਡਸਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
