Deuteronomy 28:24
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੇਜੇਗਾ-ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਰੇਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਹੀ ਕਿਰੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਓਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗਦੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ-ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤਿਨਕੇ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜਕੇ ਸੁਆਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਜਢ਼ ਵਾਂਗ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਗ ਫ਼ੁੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ-ਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਰਾਖ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਖਰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮਂਜੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਸਤੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਦਰਸਾਈ ਹੈ।
Amos 4:11
“ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਦੂਮ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਮੋਰਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਦੋ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਲਦੀ ਅੱਗ ’ਚੋਂ ਕੱਢੀ ਸੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਲੱਕੜ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਤਦ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਪਰਤੇ।” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਆਖੇ।
